There are three main types of channel letters.

• Standard Channel Letters: These have colored Plexiglas faces illuminated with either neon or led in an aluminum frame and with an aluminum back. All of our channel letters come standard with aluminum construction and should never rust. Red is by far the most popular face color for standard channel letter signs. • Reverse Channel Letters: These are often called halo-lit signs and are built the opposite of standard channel letters. They have aluminum faces and clear Plexiglas backs. The result is a halo of light around the letter at night. White is by far the most popular color for reverse channel letter signs. These types of signs are classy looking during the day, and really come to life at night when the halo effect turns on.
  
  
  
  
• Open Face Channel Letters: channel letters can be thought of as a special type of standard channel letter. These signs are manufactured with either a clear Plexiglas face, or no face at all, to expose the neon inside the sign. These types of signs really grab your attention and let you truly feel the neon as a part of the sign. Open Face Channel Letters are very effective for aggressively grabbing attention.
  
  

High-efficiency L.E.D.s, or classic neon tubing, can be used for a light source, each having it’s own advantages.

• Neon has less upfront cost versus LED, and bright illumination.
• Higher electricity bills versus LED, and more costly maintenance.
  

LED

• Lower electricity bills versus neon, minimal maintence, and bright illumination.
• Higher upfront cost versus Neon.
